Yesterday Forest of Dean Brass had a bright and early start as we made our way to Cheltenham racecourse to set up for a program of music designed to keep the half marathon runners in good spirit as they approached the most gruelling leg of the race.
Music included bat out of hell, the heat is on, come on eileen, another one bites the dust to name a few. Here are some of the comments from the runners after the race:-
Zöe Hinkley What a fab first half, I loved the buzz u get from the crowds plus the bands at the racecourse were brilliant, I now have a time to beat.. cheers, bring on next year!!
Nicki Devereux The organisation and support of the run was brilliant. A special thank you to all the racecourse entertainment, while they possibly received little interaction from the runners (who were digging deep for that last bit of energy), their upbeat music and support was most gratefully received 🏃
Chloe Blunn Can't tell you the difference all the fab music round the race course made, great improvement on previous years. Another super event!
Ben Stone Excellent event as ever! The Racecourse adds to the challenge, was so hot. The bands were brilliant and a great addition. Thanks to all involved with organising and marshalling. A real credit to Cheltenham. 😀
Dawn Allen Richardson Thankyou to all the organisers, marshalls and public support today xx fantastic organisation, lovely route and a PB as a bonus too xxxx racecourse was a good challenge but the music definitely helped xx same again next year 🏃
